  • Rui de Almeida – Chairman and Group Chief Executive Officer
    Biography

    Rui de Almeida, 5shareholder and Vice President of the Omni
    Aviação SGPS aviation Group, is 58 years old, with 35 years aviation
    experience. Following a military background (Portuguese Air Force)
    where he trained as a fixed wing and helicopter pilot, Rui
    subsequently embarked on an international civil aviation career in
    South Africa, Mozambique, Botswana, and Mauritius Island. In 1988,
    as one of the co-founders of OMNI Aviação Group, Rui assumed the
    responsibility for all operational areas as COO. The enterprise
    developed into 18 different operating companies in Portugal, Brazil,
    France, Cabo Verde and employs around 1,300 staff. In 2001, holding
    Brazilian citizenship, Rui created OMNI Táxi Aéreo (OTA) in Brazil,
    now an affiliate of OHI, which grew at a rapid pace and currently
    operates 46 helicopters and employs 865 staff. In 2011, and as a
    result of the entrance of new majority shareholder SSCP, OHI was
    created and helicopter operations were segregated out into the new
    business venture. Rui serves as Chairman on the Boards of both OTA
    and OHI.
  • Jeremy Akel – CEO
    Biography

    Jeremy is Group CEO, Omni Helicopters International. His 20 year
    aviation career is defined by the implementation of effective
    transformative strategies for organizations. As Executive Vice
    President, Commercial, at Milestone Aviation, Jeremy was responsible
    for setting and executing enterprise growth strategy. As the COO at
    Bristow Group, he championed operations transformation that achieved
    step changes in operational performance. Prior to Bristow, Jeremy
    worked as a Management Consultant in the airline industry assisting
    clients design post 9/11 competitive business models. Jeremy’s roots
    are in aviation safety where he started his career at the US
    National Transportation Safety Board. He holds a BS in Aerospace
    Engineering from the University of Colorado and MBA from Georgetown
    University.
  • Grant Ireland – Director, Global Fleet Management and Engineering
    Biography

    Grant has 34 years of experience in the offshore helicopter
    support environment. Much of his employment was with Bristow Group,
    working initially as an avionics technician, followed by a period in
    design, certification and then, post 2002, in various management
    positions. Grant was General Manager of Bristow Technical Services
    Ltd where he was also head of the EASA Part 21 Design and Production
    Organisation. In mid-2007, he moved to Bristow Group Inc, based in
    Houston, where he was responsible for the Global Maintenance and
    Engineering Standards. In 2010, his role was integrated with the
    Quality and Safety organisation with Grant becoming the Head of
    Global Quality Assurance. Grant departed from Bristow in September
    2013 and was appointed as Director, Global Fleet Management and
    Engineering of Omni Helicopters International (OHI).

  • Enrico Biale
    Biography

    Enrico joined Stirling Square from Euroceanica, a London-based
    shipping group. Prior to that he was an associate in Goldman Sachs’
    investment banking group. His previous experience includes Brera
    Capital Partners, a New York-based private equity firm, and
    Deloitte’s corporate finance team in Italy. Enrico holds an
    economics degree from the Università di Genova and an MBA from
    Columbia Business School. Enrico currently serves on the Boards of
    Directors of Jeckerson and OHI.
  • Chris Black
    Biography

    Chris joined Stirling Square from UBS Private Equity, where he
    specialised in the financial control and administration of private
    equity funds and investments, managing the financial reporting
    division of the bank’s global private equity business. He is a
    qualified chartered accountant and graduated in Business Management
    from Kings College, London. Chris currently serves on the Board of
    Directors of OHI.
  • Stefano Bonfiglio
    Biography

    Before co-founding Stirling Square, Stefano was a co-founder and
    managing director of Tetragon Partners, a private equity advisory
    firm focused on the middle-market. Prior to that Stefano was a
    managing director with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in London,
    after transferring from New York to lead the expansion of DLJ’s
    private equity activities (DLJ Merchant Banking Partners) in Europe.
    Before joining DLJ he worked at Bankers Trust in New York and Milan.
    Stefano holds an MBA from The Wharton School, an MA in International
    Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in
    International Economics from the School of Foreign Service of
    Georgetown University. Stefano currently serves on the Board of
    Directors of Axitea, ESE World and OHI in which Stirling Square
    Capital Partners has invested, and Localiza Rent a Car S.A. (São
    Paulo: Rent 3), a former portfolio company of DLJ.
  • Roberto Coimbra
    Biography

    Roberto graduated in Electronics Engineering and Naval Science,
    and post graduated in naval aviation. He also holds an Executive MBA
    in Management and Finance from IBMEC Institute. With over 20 years
    of experience in the aviation sector, Roberto worked initially as a
    Pilot at various airlines and oil and gas industry service
    companies, accumulating several thousand flying hours, before
    joining Omni Taxi Aereo (OTA), where he now works as CEO. Roberto is
    a dynamic professional with strong business vision, an excellent
    knowledge of the aviation market, and focus on results. His aviation
    experience combined with his business training continue to
    contribute to the ongoing success of both OTA and OHI. Roberto
    serves on the Boards of both OTA and OHI, and is based in Rio de
    Janeiro.
  • Gregorio Napoleone
    Biography

    Before co-founding Stirling Square, Gregorio was a co-founder and
    managing director of Tetragon Partners, a private equity advisory
    firm focused on the middle-market. Prior to that he was a principal
    at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in London, after transferring
    from New York to support the expansion of DLJ’s private equity
    activities (DLJ Merchant Banking Partners) in Europe. Before joining
    DLJ Gregorio worked at Bankers Trust in New York and Milan. His
    previous experience includes executive positions in industrial firms
    in Europe and Asia. Gregorio holds an economics degree from
    Università Bocconi in Milan. Gregorio currently serves on the Boards
    of Directors of Jeckerson, OHI and Cartonplast.
